Two forms in strawberry quartz, one larger and grounded, the other smaller and inverted, just beginning to grow, reflect the cycle of care that moves through generations: the one who holds, the one who is held, and the quiet knowing that roles will one day change.

PORTAL, first works

The first PORTAL works, each an experiment around a different stone and how it plays with light in resin and polished steel.

PORTAL is a series of sculptural pieces made with stainless steel, resin and gemstones.

The work explores how reflective materials can elevate the presence of natural stones. The stainless steel behaves like a visual antenna, catching light from the room and directing it toward the centre so the stones become a focal point.

Is every piece one of a kind?

Every Maegéc artwork is individually made by hand in Amsterdam by Claudia Solé. Natural gemstones and handmade processes create subtle variations in colour, texture and formation, so no two pieces are completely identical.
How is my artwork packed and shipped?

Each artwork is prepared with protective packaging suited to its materials, size and weight, and sent with a tracked shipping service within the European Union. Ready-made artworks are prepared for dispatch within up to 7 business days, and the shipping cost is shown at checkout.
