Ready-made artworks
Ready-made and numbered artworks may be returned under the applicable EU right of withdrawal.
Please contact bymaegec@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your artwork. After notifying us, the artwork must be returned within 14 days.
Return shipping is paid by the customer and should be tracked, insured and securely packaged. Any certificate or documentation supplied with the artwork must also be returned.
The artwork must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received. We may reduce the refund where the artwork has lost value due to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
Once the return has been accepted, we will refund the purchase price and the cost of our standard outbound delivery. Additional delivery upgrades are not refundable.
Commissioned artworks
Artworks created specifically for a customer, including fully bespoke commissions and works commissioned based on an existing Maegec piece, are custom-made and may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal where permitted by law.
Because every commissioned artwork is individually created, variations in stone placement, resin flow, colour and composition are expected and form part of the work.
Damaged or defective artworks
If your artwork arrives damaged or has an undisclosed defect, contact bymaegec@gmail.com as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and photographs of the artwork and packaging.
Depending on the issue, we may offer repair guidance, arrange a repair at our expense, provide a replacement where possible, or offer another appropriate remedy. You will never be required to repair an artwork yourself.
Where a defective artwork must be returned, Maegec will cover the reasonable return shipping costs.
Material characteristics
Maegec artworks are individually made and hand-finished. Stainless steel, resin and natural stones may show subtle variations in surface, texture, reflectivity, resin flow and stone placement.
Fine hairline marks, polishing or brushing traces and natural material variations are not considered defects where the artwork otherwise corresponds to its description and condition at sale.
